Chilmington’s first primary school, which opened in 2021, educates 420 students and has cutting-edge facilities in the centre of this new neighbourhood.

The state of the art £28m school, funded by Hodson Developments and built by the Department for Education, will welcome students aged 11 to 16 and 240 sixth-formers.
Chilmington Secondary School will have a three-story energy-efficient zero-carbon main building. It will also have a huge sports centre with a four-court sports hall and a fitness/exercise facility.
In addition, the school will have a variety of activities and drama studios. The Secondary School will be located on 20 acres of land inside the Chilmington development and will have extensive outdoor facilities such as a full-size rugby field, a full-size football pitch, a 400m athletic track, and a multi-use sports area with two junior grass football fields.
