And it’s worth remembering, even after we have valued your property and presented you with an offer, you are under no obligation to proceed.
Choose your new Hodson Developments home. Ideally the value of your existing home should be at least 35% lower than the one you are purchasing.
We will then arrange a Hodson Developments Part Exchange valuation, carried out by two independent estate agents to value your existing home.
After the valuations and if your home meets our criteria Hodson Developments will provide you with a formal offer on your old house. If you are happy with the offer we will arrange for a home buyer’s survey to be undertaken on your home, along with a visit from a member of our sales management team. Subject to the surveys being satisfactory the legal process will commence.
Once you have accepted our offer and upon receipt of the satisfactory Home Buyers Report your new Hodson Developments home will formally be reserved and the legal process will commence. You can then move towards exchanging contracts and agreeing a date to move into your new home!
Your home will then be marketed by us and by the appointed estate agents and it is expected that your house will be put on the market before you actually move out. To assist the process, we recommend you use our preferred solicitor and mortgage broker to proceed with the purchase of your new home.
Only when your new Hodson Developments home is ready will you have to move out of your old home, even if your old home is not sold yet.
